Overview

Brainmaxxing is a daily cognitive training app that helps you improve focus, logic, and verbal precision through short, structured exercises. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and what we do not do with it.

Brainmaxxing does not require you to create an account. You are identified by a randomly generated anonymous ID stored on your device — we never know who you are.

Data We Collect

We collect only the minimum data needed to run the app:

  • —Anonymous user ID. A randomly generated UUID created on your first launch. This is stored locally on your device and used to associate your data in our database. It contains no personal information.
  • —Usage data. Your daily rep scores, Brain Score, streak, training history, and rewrite responses from Say It Better. This data is tied to your anonymous ID and used to power your Brain Profile.
  • —Subscription status. Whether your account is in a free trial or has an active Brainmaxxing Pro subscription. This is stored alongside your anonymous ID.

Data We Do Not Collect

We do not collect and have no access to:

  • —Your name, email address, or phone number
  • —Your location or GPS data
  • —Your photos, camera, or microphone
  • —Your contacts or address book
  • —Your payment information (handled directly by Apple or Stripe)
  • —Health or biometric data
  • —Any data that could personally identify you

How We Use Your Data

  • —Core app experience. Your scores and history power your daily rep flow, streak tracking, and Brain Score.
  • —Trial and subscription status. We track how many days you have trained to determine your free trial eligibility and whether your subscription is active.
  • —Brain Profile. Your Brain Score, percentile ranking, and rewrite history are displayed back to you in your Cognitive Profile.
  • —App improvement. Aggregated, anonymized usage patterns may be used to improve the quality of exercises and app performance. This data cannot be traced back to you.

Third-Party Services

Brainmaxxing uses the following third-party services to operate. Each has its own privacy policy.

  • —Supabase. Our database provider. Stores your anonymous usage data securely.
  • —OpenAI (GPT API). Used to grade your Say It Better rewrite responses. Your response text is sent to OpenAI for scoring and is subject to OpenAI's data usage policies.
  • —RevenueCat. Manages in-app purchase entitlements on iOS. RevenueCat receives your anonymous user ID and purchase receipt data.
  • —Stripe. Processes web subscription payments. Stripe handles all payment information directly — we never see or store your card details.
  • —Apple. Processes iOS in-app purchases through the App Store. Apple's privacy policy governs all payment and account data.

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with any third party for advertising or marketing purposes.

Children's Privacy

Brainmaxxing does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Because we do not collect names, emails, or any identifying information from any user, all data in our system is anonymous by design. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will address it promptly.
